Back to From thee to me she turns her eyes

FROM THEE TO ME SHE TURNS HER EYES. English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The melody was used for a song in the ballad opera Fashionable Lady, or Harlequin Opera (1730), although the title comes from an earlier song which has not been found. Kidson (1890) believes the first part of the tune to have suggested the opening strain of "Dusky Night rides down the Sky (The)."
