FULL RIGGED SHIP [1], DA. AKA - "New Rigged Ship (2) (Da)." Shetland, Reel. A Dorian ('A' and 'C' parts) & A Major or Mixolydian ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABC (Bain). There is a confusion of titles between the "Full Rigged" tunes and the similarly-titled "New Rig Tunes." The tune called "The Full Rigged Ship" is generally applied to the jig (for which see "Full Rigged Ship (2) (Da)), and is often played by Scots fiddlers in a medley with the similarly titled "New Rigged Ship (2) (Da)," which is given in some sources as the present tune, the "Full Rigged Ship (1)." However, the reel tune is usually played under the title "New Rigged Ship (2) (Da)."
