GALLEY OF LORNE. Scottish, Waltz. The Galley of Lorne is an emblem in heraldry, part of the coat of arms of Clan Campbell, and is to be found on sporrans and other objects. The Galley of Lorne also refers to a ghostly boat that floats away on the horizon on the death of the Duke of Argyll.
