GARFIELD [1]. American, Reel (cut time). A Major. AEae (Bailey) or Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The only source for the tune is Stanley Bailey Sr. (1914-1988), of Nashille, Berrien County, Georgia, whose son (also named Stanley) was a bluegrass fiddler who lived in Florida for many years. The elder Bailey, who was Georgia State Fiddle Champion in 1932 and 1934, had several regional south Georgia tunes in his repertory. The 'B' part is very similar to that of some versions of "Breakin' Up Christmas."
