GENERAL ROBERTSON OF LAWAR'S. AKA - "Major General Robertson of Lawar's." Scottish, Marching Air (whole time). C Major. Standard tuning (tuning). AABCDD. Composed by John Bowie. The tune was printed by the Gows in the 2nd Collection of Niel Gow's Reels (1788), attributed to John Bowie. Jerry Holland remembered Angus Chisholm playing this tune (in three parts) in a medley with "Killiekrankie."
