GUYPE'S FROLIC. Scottish, Slip Jig (9/8 time). F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. A few on-line slang dictionaries give that guype is Irish slang for someone who wanders aimlessly or a clueless person. There is little to corroborate this assertion, its derivation, nor how old the word might be.
