HANGMAN'S NOOSE [1]. AKA and see "Daniel O'Connell the Home Ruler," "Frank McCollam's (2)," "Home Ruler (The)," "McCollum's Hornpipe," "Pat Galvin's Hornpipe," "Sean Ryan's Hornpipe (1)." Irish, Hornpipe. A misnomer in Bulmer & Sharoley's volume for Frank McCollum's well-known hornpipe "Home Ruler (The)", with the parts reversed. See "Hangman's Noose (2)" for the actual tune by that name. Both are compositions of Ballycastle, County Antrim, piper and fiddler Frank McCollum, who liked to pair them together in a medley (hence the apparent confusion).
