HARRY'S DELIGHT. AKA and see "Punchinello (3)." English, Reel (cut time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. A tune by this name is also one of the "missing tunes" of William Vickers' 1770 Northumbrian dance tune manuscript. Vickers' tune may or may not have been the same one in Straight and Skillern's publication, as there are at least two other 19th century melodies with the name "Harry's Delight." The melody appeared ten years earlier in Charles & Samuel Thompson's Compleat Collection of 200 Favourite Country Dances, vol. 2 (London, 1765) as "Punchinello (3)."
