HEIGH HO FOR A HUSBAND. English, Air (4/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. The tune appears in John Gamble's Manuscript Common Place Book, while the words are in Pepys' Collection and in Wit and Mirth. It is mentioned twice in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing (Act III, Scenes I and IV).
