HEY BOYS UP GO WE [4]. AKA and see "Cuckolds All in a Row." English, Country Dance Tune (6/8 time). C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. Cecil Sharp renamed "Cuckolds All in a Row," in his series of revivalist country dance books, probably to obscure the risque title. As "Cuckolds..." it was first published for country dancing by John Playford in his English Dancing Master (1651), although as a song air it seems to have been at least a few decades older (a ballad called "Cuckolds all a row" was entered in the Stationer's Register on June 9th, 1637).
