HIGH BARBARY. English, Air (6/8 time). E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). One part. An old broadside sea song probably written in the latter part of the 16th century, opines the collector Cecil Sharp. He also notes it was quoted in a play called The Two Noble Kinsmen written by John Fletcher and William Shakespeare.
