Patrick MacDonald, minister of Kilmore in Argyleshire. It is likely Glasgow musician and music publisher James Aird obtained the tune from MacDonald's collection (as he did others of MacDonald's published tunes). The reel also was entered into the large music manuscript collection of James Rook of Waverton, Cumbria, who probably copied it from Aird's collection.
