HIS MAJESTY'S WELCOME TO SCOTLAND. Scottish, Strathspey (cut time). A Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Perthshire fiddler-composer Duncan McKercher, the "Dunkeld Paganini." The title honors the 1822 visit of King George IV to Scotland [1], the first visit of a reigning monarch to Scotland in nearly two centuries.
