HOME TOWN BAND, THE. AKA and see "Old Town Band (2) (The)," "Centennial (The)." American, March (2/4 time). USA, southwestern Pa. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle) AABB. Universally known to Pennsylvania fifers and some fiddlers, according to Bayard (1981), who was not able to trace it back to British Isles antecedents.
