HOMMAGE À EDMOND PARIZEAU. AKA and see "Reel du Commonwealth." French-Canadian, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABCC'. A tune sometimes attributed to accordion player Marcel Messervier, who arranged and popularized it after an air recorded in 1953 by Edmond Parizeau (sometimes given as Pariseau or Pariso), who called it "Reel du Commonwealth". Parizeau recorded "Dance du Procureur"/"Reel du Commonwealth" on a 78 RPM recording, Bluebird 55-5488, a label for whom he made a number of recordings.
