HONORABLE MISS CATHRINE ABERCROMBEY'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The title perhaps refers to the Hon. Catherine Ambercrombie (1780–1841), youngest daughter of general Sir Ralph Ambercrombie [1], who in Dec., 1811, married Thomas Buchanan, Esq., in the East India Company’s service.
