HORNPIPE [45]. English, Hornpipe (cut time). B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. John Offord (2018) points out the first strain is shared with "Miss Bannister's Hornpipe" from the Browne Family manuscript collection. Compare also with John Roose's "Mountebank's Hornpipe" which is similar, perhaps cognate in the first strain. The second strain of Roose's tune is similar, but less so that the first strain with significant differences in melodic contour.
