HUMORS OF BALLINAFAD [2], THE. AKA and see "Dougherty's Fancy," "Doherty's Fancy," "Kips," "Pet of the Pipers." Irish, Jig (6/8 time). A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Sometimes set in the key of 'D'. The tune (usually known as "Pet of the Pipers") was recorded under the "Ballinafad" title by Paddy Killoran in New York in 1938. Michael Coleman recorded the tune as the second jig in his "Up Sligo" medley.
