HUMPTY DUMPTY [1]. Irish, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Supposedly this was the first tune Irish fiddler John Vesey (who lived in Philadelphia, Pa.) learned from his father, which he referred to as 'Daddy's (Da's/Pa's) Knee', and it was picked up from him by Philadelphia musicians who termed it "Dad's Jig."
