"Illinois Whiskey" is a version of the better-known "Rye Straw (1)" from the playing of fiddler Street Butler (1904-1977), of Elkton, Todd County, insouthwest Kentucky. Mr. Butler was recorded in January, 1976, by musician and collector Bruce Greene.
