IRISH LASSES [2], THE. English, Jig (6/8 time). E Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. Aird's melody also appears in the c. 1780 music manuscript collection of fiddler John Fife, thought to be from Perthshire. Fife also may have made entries into his manuscript while at sea, as there are references to battles in the Caribbean and Mediterranean seas.
