The melody appears under this title in volume IV of O'Farrell's Pocket Companion for the Irish or Union Pipes, vol. IV, c. 1810, and as "Apples in Winter (7)" in volume I of the same publication (69). O'Neill prints it as "Easter Sunday (1)" (1001 Gems, No. 169). The jig was entered as "Favourite or Dream" in the section of tunes attributed to piper Walker Jackson in the mid-19th century music manuscript collection (vol. 4, p. 5) of County Cork Church of Ireland cleric and uilleann piper James Goodman.
