JENNIE ROCK THE CRADLE (Sineidin Corraig an Luasgan). AKA and see "Jackie Layton," Talk:Jack Latin, Talk:Jackie Latten, Talk:Jockey Layton. Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddler). ABC (O’Neill): AABBCDD’EEFF’G (Miller). "Jenny Rock the Cradle" is melodically different enough to warrant a separate entry, but also has ties to "Jackie Layton." It has harmonic and cadential similarities to "Jennie Rock the Cradle," and a similar character, however. Variants of the first strain, notes Paul de Grae, occur in "Sligo Chorus (The)", "Within a Mile of Dublin (2)," "Jacky Latin/Jackie Layton," and "Four Courts (1) (The)"[1].
