JOHN FORBES. Scottish, Strathspey. E Minor. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by Alexander Walker for solicitor and bank agent John Forbes of Banff, who died in 1874. His father was John Forbes of Huntly, a builder, and he married Eliza Young (for whom see "Mrs. J. Forbes").
