E Dorian ('A' part) & D Major ('B' part). Standard tuning (fiddle). ABB. Similarities to "Johnny's Gone to France (1)." Breathnach says it is closely related to "Jenny Picking Cockles (3)," as it appears in the c. 1885 music manuscript of Gaigue, Ballinamuck, County Longford, musician Francis Reynolds.
