New York City researcher, writer and musician Don Meade believes James (Jimmy) and (Johnny) biography:John Hand may have been brothers (or perhaps father-son) and fiddlers from Boston, Massachusetts, in the mid-19th century. Conor Ward finds reference to a John Hand who composed some tunes in 19th cent. County Leitrim, although no connection has been established. There are several tunes attributed to the Hands in Ryan's.
