JUVENILE SET--1st FIGURE. American, Quadrille (6/8 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). ABACA. The quadrille set was composed by Providence, Rhode Island, violinist, music teacher and dance fiddler George Saunders, who wrote an influential violin tutor in 1847. Saunders composed several quadrille sets for the volume, including this one, evidently meant to be performed by adolescents.
