KÄRIS PERS POLSKA. Swedish, Hambo Tune (3/4 time). D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB. A hambo is a type of Swedish country dance which has attained some popularity among New England contra dancers. This is the currently the most popular of the hambo tunes. I have a well-circulated photocopy of a text which gives the source as "efter Paul Backstrom, efter Hook Olof." Another ciculated copy is "efter Leif Alpsjö."
