KATIE SCOLLARD'S SLIDE. Irish, Slide (12/8 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. According to L.E. McCullogh, Chicago accordion player Terry Teahan, originally from County Kerry, learned the tune from Mrs. Scollard, who was a neighbor in Castleisland around 1910. She was quite old at the time--in her 80's--but Teahan recalled "she was as smooth a concertina player as ever you'd want to hear."
