KESWICK JIGG. English, Reel. C Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABBCCDD. The reel was entered into the large 1840 music manuscript collection of multi-instrumentalist John Rook of Waverton, near Wigton, Cumbria. It is perhaps a local tune, as Keswick, Cumbria, is a market town in northwest England’s Lake District.
