KISSING AND FLIRTING. English, Slip Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB.

Source for notated version: the 1800-1802 music manuscript collection of ship's fiddler William Litten, who sailed with the British East India fleet during their voyage to China during that time. The manuscript came to the island of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, by the returning seaman Allen Coffin, who was perhaps a shipmate. Very little is known of Litten himself, and how the ms. came into Coffin's hands is also unknown.

Printed sources: Huntington (William Litten's Tune Book), 1977; p. 32.
