LADY BEATRICE HAMILTON. Scottish, Reel. F Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by William Marshall (1748-1833). According to Moyra Cowie (The Life and Times of William Marshall, 1999), the title refers to Hamilton of Bo'Ness. The hunting seat of the Hamiltons was at Chatelherault, on high ground with views to the Clyde, now restored and open to the public.
