LADY GIG. AKA and see "Lady Ann Hamilton's Rant." English, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "Lady Gig" or "Lady Jig" was presumably a title of convenience, as the correct title was miss-remembered. It was printed in north west England by William Vickers under the "Lady Ann Hamilton's Rant", and perhaps this is the title just out of source Ellis Knowles' memory.

Source for notated version: a c. 1847 music manuscript by Ellis Knowles, a musician from Radcliffe, Lancashire, England [Plain Brown Tune Book].

Printed sources: Doyle (Plain Brown Tune Book), 1997; p. 47.
