LADY SCOTT'S STRATHSPEY. Scottish, Strathspey. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Composed by fiddler-composer John Pringle, who dedicated his second collection (c. 1805) to Lady Scott of Ancrum. Harriet Graham (c. 1757-), daughter of William Graham of Gartmore, married Sir John Scott (1757-1812) of Craigintinnie, 5th Baronet of Ancrum, in 1792. Ancrum is in north Roxburghshire, Borders, Scotland. Ancrum House was demolished in the 1960's.
