LAFRICAN'S. AKA and see "Widow Brady (The)." American, Jig. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune perhaps has an Irish provenance. It has been suggested by Caoimhin Mac Aoidh and Paul Wells that the title is a corruption of "Lorrigan's." Francis O'Neill printed the tune twenty years after William Bradbury Ryan, in his Music of Ireland (1903) under the title "Widow Brady (The)."
