LAMENT FOR DONALD BÁIN MACCRIMMON. AKA - "Cumha Dohnhnuill Ban Mhich Cruimmen." Scottish, Lament or Pipe Piobaireachd. A lament composed by Malcom MacCrimmon upon the death in 1746 of his brother, Donald Báin MacCrimmon, himself a famous piper, as was their father, Padruig Og MacCrimmon. See note for "MacCrimmon's Lament" for more on this event. Another piobaireachd linked to Donald Ban's death is the "Pretty Dirk", composed by his father.
