LIGHTNING HORNPIPE [1]. New England, Canada, Hornpipe. B Flat Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. See also the Missouri variant "Lightning Hornpipe (2)." The melody was also in the repertoire of Rush, Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, fiddler Jehile Kirkhuff (who won the 1954 -55 World Championship held in Crockett, Texas), and was also played by Grant Lamb, Manitoba fiddle champion 1953-54-55.
