LITTLE SHOES. American, Reel. USA, southwestern Pa. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. Bayard (1981) finds the second strain of this tune to be a fairly common in international folk music, being part of two Midwestern tunes in Christeson (1973, Old Time Fiddler's Repertory vol. 1, Nos. 49 & 61), "Muses (The)" (USA), "Zweitritt" (German, c. 1820-1850), "Three Meet (2)" (Eng.), "Pleasures of the Town (2) (The)" (Eng.).
