LONDONDERRY LOVE SONG (Abran--Grad Doire-Calgaic). AKA and see "Londonderry Air," "Danny Boy" "Derry Air." Irish, Air (4/4 time, "with feeling"). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AB. The familiar "Derry Air" with cadences ending on the relative minor chord. Derry was renamed Londonderry as a result of its being granted to the Corporation of London after the confiscation of the O'Neill estates in 1609.
