LORN STRATHSPEY, THE. AKA and see "Marquess of Lorn/Marquis of Lorn." Scottish, Strathspey. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This 'double tonic' composition is credited to Biography:Niel Gow, although it appears under the "Lorn Strathspey" title without attribution in Nathaniel Gow's Beauties of Niel Gow (1819, printed for Gow by Alexander Robertson).
