LORN STRATHSPEY, THE. AKA and see "Marquess of Lorn/Marquis of Lorn." Scottish, Strathspey. D Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. This 'double tonic' composition is credited to Niel Gow, although it appears under the "Lorn Strathspey" title without attribution in Nathaniel Gow's Beauties of Niel Gow (1819, printed for Gow by Alexander Robertson).
