LYNDHURST. Scottish, Pipe March (6/8 time). B Dorian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'CCDD'. Composed by Pipe Major Jack Smith of the T. Muirhead and Sons Pipe Band. Smith was an Ayrshire native who lived for a while in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he judged pipe competitions at the first Grandfather Mountain Highland Games in the 1950's. Smith is also credited with the setting of "Duncan Findlay's Reel" in the Edcath Collection of Highland Bagpipe Music and Drum Settings, Book 1.
