MACLEAN'S FAVORITE. AKA and see "McLean's Favorite." Irish, Reel. G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AA'BB'. A version of the tune usually known nowadays under the title "Maude Miller/Maude Millar." O'Neill had previously printed the tune in Music of Ireland (1903) under the slightly altered spelling "McLean's Favorite." "Dolly Dimple", from the 19th century Rice-Walsh manuscript, has a similar first strain, as does "My Love is Fair and Handsome."
