MAID IN A BOX. AKA and see "O'Driscoll's Favourite." Irish, Reel. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The reel was popularized by Shetland fiddler Aly Bain, and as a result the provenance is sometimes given as a Scottish or Sheland tune. However, Bain obtained the tune from the playing of Belfast fiddler Sean McGuire (1927–2005).
