MAID OF GLENGARRYSDALE. Scottish, Pipe Quickstep (6/8 time). A Mixolydian. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by John McLachlan, piper to Neill Malcolm Esq. of Poltalloch. He issued a collection in 1854 entitled The Piper's Assistant: A Collection of Marches, Quicksteps, Strathspeys, Reels and Jigs (published by Alexander Glen, an Edinburgh bagpipe maker).
