MAMMOTH CAVE WALTZ. Old-Time, Waltz. Recorded for Victor in 1928 by fiddler Blind Joe Mangrum (b. 1853, Paducah, Ky.) and accordion player Fred Shriver, although the side was never issued. There is a "Mammoth Cave Waltz" composed in 1850 by J.C. Cook, a copy of which is on the American Memory site [1], although it cannot be determined if this was the same tune Mangrum recorded as the master (unissued) was destroyed.
