MAMMY'S PET [2] (Peata Mhamaí). AKA and see "Kitty in the Lane," "Lilies of the Field (The)," "P. J. Conlon's," "New Repealer's Reel (The)." Irish, Reel. D Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AAB. Unrelated or perhaps distantly related to "Mammy's Pet (1)." The tune is usually known at "Lilies of the Field" nowadays (see Annotation:Lilies of the Field (The) for more). Breathnach notes the tune was originally recorded for Columbia Records in New York in 1929 by accordion player P.J. Conlon under the title "Kitty in the Lane (4)."
