MANAGE THE MISER. English, Country Dance Tune (3/2 time). D Major (Williamson): F Major (Knowles). Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. The tune was published by John Young in his Second Volume of the Dancing Master [1], first published in 1710. It was retained by Young in the series through the fourth edition of 1728. "Manage the Miser" was also published in 1710 by Walsh and Randall in The New Country Dancing Master, Second Book, and by Walsh and Hare in The Second Book of the Compleat Country Dancing-Master (London, 1719).
