MARCH 7th VALENTINE. AKA and see "Belentine's March." English, March (cut time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "March 7th Valentine" was entered in the mid-19th century music manuscript of William Winter[1] (1774-1861), a shoemaker and violin player who lived in West Bagborough in Somerset, southwest England. The march was entered into the c. 1840 music manuscript collection of poet John Clare (Helpstone, Northamptonshire) under the title "Belentine's March" (the title is unclear in Clare's ms. and may be "Palatine's" or another spelling).
