MARCH IN THE GOD OF LOVE. American, March (whole time). G Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB. "March in the God of Love" was printed in several volumes of martial music and instrumental instructors in the beginning of the 19th century, and was entered into several American musicians' copybooks, primarily fife players. The title seems to indicate the tune's employment as a march in a stage production, yet to be identified. However, the march seems to be particular to the United States and does not appear in European repertory.
