MAUREEN GLYNN CONNOLLY'S. Irish, Jig. A Major. Standard tuning (fiddle). AABB'. Composed by Falmouth, Massachusetts, writer and musician Bill Black in honor of Maureen Glynn Cronin Connolly of Brooklyn and County Clare. Connolly was a renowned exponent of Irish music and dance, and took over her father's music school in Brooklyn after his death. She married Martin Connolly of Killalie, County Clare, and settled in Ennis, where she died in 1998.
